Pimpalgaon Raja, Buldhana (Tamsil Shahezad Khan)– A shocking incident of corporal punishment has come to light at a government primary school in Buldhana district, where a teacher allegedly beat a fourth-grade student with an iron scale for failing to answer a mathematics question correctly.

The incident occurred on January 23, 2026, at the District Council Primary School in Pimpalgaon Raja, Khamgaon Taluka, leaving the 10-year-old boy injured and requiring medical attention.

Details of the Incident

According to the complaint filed by Narayan Devidasg Ingale, 37, a daily wage laborer and father of the victim, his son Pawan Narayan Ingale was studying in the fourth grade when the assault took place between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM on January 23.

The accused teacher, identified as Primary School Teacher Chim Sir , allegedly used an iron scale to strike the child on his back, thighs, and hands after the student was unable to answer a question in class.

Medical Treatment and Police Action

The injured child has been admitted to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. A medical certificate documenting the injuries has been submitted as evidence.

Following the incident, the child's father approached the Pimpalgaon Raja Police Station on January 24 and filed a formal complaint. An FIR has been registered under Case No. 16/2026, invoking Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, along with Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

The investigation has been assigned to Beat Police Officer Dhiraj Deshmukh (Badge No. 1706).

Police Response

Speaking about the case, Police Inspector Bhagwat Mulik of Pimpalgaon Raja Police Station confirmed the registration of the FIR. "We have registered the complaint and a thorough investigation is underway. We will inform the public about further developments in this case as the investigation progresses," PI Mulik stated.
